Welcome to DevTools HQ. I respect your privacy and am committed to protecting it. This Privacy Policy explains what data I collect, why I collect it, and what I do with it.

1. Information I Collect

I only collect information that is necessary to provide you with the service.

• Account Information: When you create an account, I use Firebase Authentication to manage your login. I may store your email address, display name, and profile picture URL, as provided by you or your chosen social login provider (e.g., Google). I do not store your password.
• Usage Data (for Guests): For users who are not logged in, I use your browser's Local Storage to keep track of your usage for individual tools to enforce a generous free usage limit. This data is stored entirely on your device and is not sent to my servers.

2. How I Use Your Information

Your information is used solely to:

• Provide, operate, and maintain the services.
• Authenticate you and personalize your experience.
• Communicate with you if necessary (e.g., for password resets).

3. Tool Data Processing

This is the most important part: All data you input into any of the tools on this website (like the JSON Formatter, Base64 Encoder, etc.) is processed entirely on the client-side, within your own browser.

I do not store, log, or transmit any of the data you paste into the tools. Your secrets, code, and data are yours and yours alone. The moment you close the browser tab, it's gone. The only exception is for AI-powered tools, where the input is sent securely to the Google AI API for processing and is not stored or used for training.

4. Third-Party Services

I use Firebase (a Google service) for user authentication and hosting. Firebase has its own privacy policy, which you can review here.

5. Data Security

I take reasonable measures to protect your account information. All communication with the website is encrypted using SSL (HTTPS).

6. Your Rights

You have the right to access, update, or delete your account information at any time through the Settings page. If you delete your account, all your associated data will be permanently removed from our database.

7. Changes to This Policy

I may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. I will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.
